As feathers said
The Smiths - "How soon is now"
Placebo - Protege Moi / Protect me from what I want. (Same song, same lyrics but one is sang in French.
A Perfect Circle - The noose. "Your Halo slipping down to choke you now"
Slipknot - The Nameless " I never wanted anybody more than I wanted you the only thing I ever really loved, was hurting you.

Nobody's Moggy Now! - Eric Bogle

First couple of verses (pure tragedy...)

Somebody's Moggy by the side of the road
Somebody's pussy who forgot his highway code
Someone's favorite feline who ran clean out of luck
When he ran onto the road and tried to argue with a truck

Yesterday he purred and played in his pussy paradise
Decapitating tweetybirds and masticating mice
Now he's just 6 lbs of raw minced meat that don't smell very nice
He's nobody's Moggy now

last two verses, even more tragic...

Oh you who love your pussy be sure to keep him in
Don't let him argue with a truck the truck is bound to win
And upon the busy road don't let him play or frolic
If you do I'm warning you it could be CAT-ostrophic

If he plays out on the roadway I'm afraid that will be that
There'll be one last despairing MEOW and a sort of squelchy SPLAT
And your pussy will be slightly dead and very, very flat
He's nobody's Moggy
Just red and squashed and soggy
He's Nobody's Moggy now

Eric Bogle did a WAY sadder song than that (although cat lovers might disagree)

My youngest son came home today
His friends marched with him all the way
The pipe and drum beat out the time
While in his box of polished pine
Like dead meat on a butcher's tray
My youngest son came home today

My youngest son was a fine young man
With a wife, a daughter and two sons
And a man he would've lived and died
Until by a bullet sanctified
Now he's a saint, or so they say
My youngest son came home today

An Irish sky looks down and weeps
Upon the narrow Belfast streets
On children's blood in gutters spilled
On dreams of glory unfulfilled
All part of freedom's price to pay
My youngest son came home today

I'ii raise your Eric Bogle with another Eric Bogle...

No man's Land

First verse gives the drift...

Well, how'd you do, Private Willie McBride,
D'you mind if I sit down down here by your graveside?
I'll rest for awhile in the warm summer sun,
Been walking all day, Lord, and I'm nearly done.
I see by your gravestone you were only nineteen
When you joined the glorious fallen in 1916,
I hope you died quick and I hope you died "clean,"
Or, Willie McBride, was it slow and obscene?

Celine Dion

...she had to move to LasVegas to keep everyone in Canada from killing themselves in a mass suicide at Niagara Falls

Word has it that CISIS , the Canadian Inteligence Agency ,uses her screeching to "crack" Al Qaeda agents & is the reason Bin Laden stays hidden in the Afgan mountains

I think that's called "Macarthur Park". Truly painful.
I can't stand Redgum's Only 19, or anything by James Blunt or Jack Johnson. As soon as as they're on, the radio get's turned off. Same with Ann Murray's "You Needed Me" and Helen Reddy's "I am Woman".

For all you youngsters out there, have a listen to anything by Leonard Cohen.

Don't worry about the words, his voice will have you running for a razorblade...

I didn't know anything about the song until I heard it in a promo for the ABC news and did a bit of reading about it. It's rather haunting.
