Is it out? I've had it on pre-order for months, I've never been notified of its release. I guess I'll head up to EB on the weekend to pick it up.

For outright Realism, as in features of the game GTR2 would come close, as an outright simulator, as far a breadth of tracks, cars and interactive gameplay, you probably couldnt get too much close to the Forza2, except the next gen of Gran Turismo, but who knows whats going on there....

Only thing letting it down .. no aussie cars :( Would be awesome if there was some falcons in the next one.

I randomly took some photos. The first being of my Sprinter, dam is that insanely fun to drift or what !! The second being a camaro that I won. I test drove it .. sounded hot as, then i painted it, added wheels, lowered and an exhaust .. and it sounds sextacular !!

The SOUND is even better. Best game for car sounds to date, knocking Forza 1 off the top spot lol.

Heres my starting car with a muck around paint job i made to try it out. Plus 2 more shots.

Is there damage in this one?

Are the car sounds really realistic? These are the two things that you can only bag about the GT series. IE - will say a WRX sound like a WRX and not a vacuum cleaner? And not the same as a Mustang..LOL

Dam straight, a mustang will sounds like a tough v8, where as a WRX sounds like a WRX. The sounds in the first forza game were great, GT all sounded like the same car. Now Forza 2 has improved again and its awesome ... the best thing is getting a car, listening to it, then buying an exhaust and listening again.

Yes there is damage, I will go and crash a car now and show you lol.

Speaking of Holden....

Before

.. and After

For some reason the front bar wouldn't come off in free mode, but that usually comes off too, and yes i know its a vauxhall lol. So, does this persuade you to venture from Sony ?

WTF.

Can you sell cars to people? How does that work? Is there an only sales place? Thats insane if correct.

And whats with all the custom paint job? That would take forever!

GT5 will have to do some catching up, but GT4/5's car list is ALOT bigger.

Yeah you can sell cars to people, or give them away if you want. Generally people will design an insane paint job then sell the car on the online auction house. Where you can bid for them using in game credits. You can also lock your design and leave your trademark on them so nobody can modify them.

You pretty much just use layers and the objects provided to make your artwork. Like the saab I posted before, was only a few vinyls on seperate layers and modified to fit. Here is an example of someone with a lot of talent using simple shapes and decals provided .. http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/1916/93737893my6.jpg

My next goal is to make the triple 8 vodafone paint scheme on a car lol.

GTO is in the Vauxhall garage.

Haven't bought one yet though, getting some nice racers and trying to spec up a few class racers for some online racing. Bought the Bentley Speed 8 off auction, nice car to drive.

Oh there's some pics of the GTO a few posts up. :togo:

Just got this game last night, it's pretty damn good too! The physics engine is waaaay better than the original, but the graphics aren't what I expected. I do love the fact that I can have a ~600kw, 860kg, RB26 powered, 4WD (!) Datto 240Z though LOL.

I got Forza 2 yesterday, its awsome, already addicted to racing again, i was pleased to find there is a Focus ST/XR5. My XR5 now puts out about 270kw and goes hard. Once again Forza deliveres acurate and realistic graphics and driving.

Oh and a quick question, in Forza 1 you could sell the cars you win for a decent amount of cash, but now i can only get 100 for them. Im still in the early stages of the game, will these prices get better as i progress?

No, it's a prize car, it'll only ever be worth 100 credits. If you get something decent you can auction it on live and hope someone buys it.

Went a bit crazy when I was starting off buying cars off there now I have about 6 duplicates.
