A wheel alignment fixes everything, when it comes to front end issues. This includes any little noises. Well it all depends on what type of accident you expect to have. And if any two cars collide, both benefit from either having crumple zones. So in a single vehicle crash I'd go the newer car, in a two vehicle collision I'd be in the old fairlane. At least then if I expire, I'll go out in style, rather than looking like a snag in the handbag. I don't expect to crash myself being a more careful than average driver, but I'm counting on some idiot putting himself in my path at some point.
