I met my now hubby at a friends place.He use to know the people there a long time and i had just met one of their brothers who i just started to go out with.The guy use to do drugs so i gave him the flick as people who do drugs are losers anyway ten years later, never looked back.

It's hard meeting ladies at pubs/clubs because most of them don't give you the time of day (or night!). I've sort of given up on thinking I will meet the girl of my dreams at a nightclub. I think the best way is networking through friends; although I've had a couple of relationships with people from work but try to avoid them. They always seem to come at the wrong time anyway....

I met a few on holiday (very "short" relationships, except one that lasted for a little while but she lived in NSW). It's funny how your confidence can change just because you're in holiday mode!!

meet current GF meet at one of the car cruises i regularly go to, so she started coming every week. Then she got it managed to get my phone number of my mates and it sorta went from there ... she did more the chasing than i did

Mate= G/F & I are going to Wollongong tomorrow , wanna go ?
Me= Yeah , suppose ( thinking 3 seats , mmmm odd one out , no matter)

Mates G/F= B/F & I are going to wollongong tomorrow , wanna go ?
She says= Yeah , suppose ( thinking 3 seats , mmm odd one out , no matter)

Mate turns up at my place , says "Ok let's go" mmm , chick in the front , had met her once 18 mths before at a B/day party .......what's going on ? ? ? ? , you 2 better get in the back , too awkward going that far using the floorshift (4 sp) . Had a great day , I drove back to Sydney , mate & G/F in back this time.

Started going out following week , engaged 12 months later , married 6 months after that , 6th May 1978 (not allowed to forget that one

28 yrs & 3 kids later , she's still my best mate/friend and "she still talks to me" Never been apart.

(Mate who introduced us has been married 5 times :yeees: )

We were friends of friends for about 2 years. We would go out in a big group and knew of each other but we didn't know each other. I was from Western Sydney, she was from the North Shore, even though she didn't really know me she thought I was some kind of try hard because I was into cars, she thought I drove around in a ricer with subs who spent Friday nights lapping. About 12 months ago she was going through some difficult times and one night we were out with a big group of friends, we began talking and she completely opened up to me so we went some where else quieter and we talked all night. From then onwards we called each other every night and saw each other more often, just as friends though. Then one night we were arguing over something stupid (long story) and I blurted out that I am beginning to like her more then a friend, she didn't say a thing, so I said 'Fine, I understand if you can't see me in the same way now, I will drop you off at home, delete your number from my phone and we will never see each other again' there was more silence then she shook her head and said 'did you ever stop to think that I have began liking you more then a friend too??' she had been hinting that she wanted more for about a week and I couldn't even see it.

We are best of friends,see each other every possible second and have been together for nearly 6 months now. Also planning a 2-3 month trip to Europe in May next year.

Hey guys, i meet my Fiance at good old safeway working on the mornington pensula. I was 18 and she was 16. Me being the typical male that i am i didn't pick up on any of the signs eg constant flirting, always wanting to work together stacking the chips up aisle 11, ect ect. She finally asked me out, i knocked her back!!!!!!!!! 3 goes later (she always asked me) i decided to go out with her and it was the best descision ever. We got engaged last may, have been going out for 3 years in december and hope to marry in 2009.

My wife is from Peru and tried several times to contact me on msn. I don´t know how she found me or why she tried to contact me but we became pen pals for about 3 years and became close friends. We had a chance to meet in Australia face to face for the first time and I fell in love with her straight away. We just got married here in Lima Peru on the 2nd of September. I couldn´t be happier, long distance is so difficult but she is well worth it. And her family is amazing.

He picked me up at the supermarket. Apparently he recognised me from when I had meetings with a financial planner who had an office at his law firm. Started chatting while we waited in line at the checkout, and have been inseparable ever since.

my most memorable one... at a party and i was blind.... i mean absolutely legless... anyway i still picked her up (she was about 16ish, i was 17) and we went out for about a year , then she moved to bendigo, and now has 3 kids!!! we broke up 2 and a half years ago..
18 with 3 rugrats, eeewwww, filth... thank god i took the time to do the math and none are mine!

I meet my wife on a msn chat room 1 week before i went to timor. When i was in timor i talked to her via phone for the seven months i was there. I knew her better than i knew myself. When i was in Timor i had a weeks leave about a month before we rotated back to Australia. We physicaly met in Darwin for the first time and hit it off

: then when i returned to Australia we moved in together. 2 years later we were married and now 2 years on she is still my best friend. we do everything together. and i go nowhere with out her.

I met my now x ,since last nite, partner,you will know him as Tiapan through a mate of both of ours at a gathering at my house.i gave up everything i had for him n moved down south n last night he tells me he hasnt loved me for about six months n he doesnt want to be with me anymore.It was the worst feeling of my life n right now im still tryin to come to terms with him not being here.he dropped my stuff off at my mums at 3 in the morning n allowed me to walk the whole way bak here.im not really sure where to go from here

met my otha half on a car cruise, his car stepped out sideways under a very heavy right foot n nearly swiped off tha front end of my car, i got it on film and he hasnt lived it down since.
