For the DBA T3 4000 series all round with aftermarket pads the cost is from $1540 to $1750 and if you want the 2 piece front discs then add about $400 to the cost. We can do cheaper and dearer pad rotor combinations to suit but these prices will give you an idea.

Thanks for the reply Matt,
Could you please Pm me a price for the T3 5000 2 piece front, suitable rears, and the Hawk pads, posted to postcode 2533. And just to confirm, this combo would suit the FG GT with the brembo 355/32mm 6pot front and 4pot 330/28mm rear?
Could you also please advise on how to pay mate

Hi Matt,

Just wondering what the supply situation is for the 6/4 Black Brembo package for an FPV GT R-Spec? Or is it still looking like the best option is to get a set of red ones and have them re-painted black?

Cheers,

Jim

Jim we have no access to any Brembo black ones sorry mate and to get them ordered from brembo would cost a bucket load sorry as they would not be available for the same price we can offer the red ones at. Painting them black is the best option.

Thanks Matt. I'll have a think about it and see how I want to proceed. Can you send me details of what is in the Red 6/4 package and the current pricing please?

Thanks,

Jim

The FG 6/4 kits start from $4500 and go up to $6000. All kits will bolt on and have everything supplied including slotted disc rotors. The options up to the $6000 price include 2 piece front rotors and brake pads that can be used for street and track if need be as it is a common request from customers. We can mix and match your upgrade.

Hi Matt,

I'm not interested in track work so I'd be after the basic 6/4 setup. Two questions:

1) Are the rotors Brembo and are they the same size that FPV would have provided?

2) Are braided hoses included in the kit?

You can pm me if you like.

Thanks,

Jim

1) Are the rotors Brembo and are they the same size that FPV would have provided? In the kit we do for $4650 we supply DBA T3 slotted rotors front and rear and are the same size as the factory ones.

2) Are braided hoses included in the kit? The $4650 kit above has a full set of goodridge braided lines supplied in them.

The $4650 kit is better overall than the starting $4500 kit and is more than adequate for what you want and comes with factory brembo brake pads as well.

Ford Territory Turbo 2009 model.
I have Brembo callipers already and want to use them.

What i would like is
2 x 400mm x 32mm front rotors
2 x 400mm (or 380mm or 355mm) x 26mm rear rotors.

If it has to be 330mm ones then that may have to do.

I think a 400mm front rotor will be an issue with the caliper because of the radius but we know a 375mm will be fine and the rear brembo caliper suits a 330mm x 28mm and will bolt straight up for you plus i don't think anything larger in diamtere will work because of the radius as well plus you would have to custom make a 2 piece disc to suit the handbrake setup.
The problem with running calipers on over size rotors is the caliper can foul on the disc and also the brake pad wil sit higher than the disc radius because of the radius of the rotors.

What size is the standard rear rotor?
For a std FG they are 303mm x 18mm
For the larger single piston rears fitted they are 328mm x 26mm
For a 4 piston rear brembo caliper they are 330mm x 28mm - these are what you will get

Before i price you on the rotors the front 375mm are a two piece set up so they have a alloy hat and outer rotor ring and the rear rotor is a 1 piece. Do you want the hat and rotor for the front or just the outer ring and you will make the hats and are you after slotted rotors as i will need to sought this out to try and match them.

I need the rotor and hat to mount to territory.
yes i want slotted rotors (prefer cross drilled as wel ubt understand you may not be able to provide)

My rears are large single piston brembo (not the 4 piston one) so 328mm x 26mm will be needed.

OK now i understand but the rear single piston you have is actually a PBR caliper not a Brembo which is why i was confused that you had Brembo's all round.
You will have to make a new bracket or i think the factory terri one was steel so you may be able to modify this one for the front caliper to fit a 378mm disc.
I am waiting on prices for the front 378mm rotors and also checking stock but the alloy hats and the rear rotors are available.

A 4 piston front kit would need a custom bracket but we can get the brackets for the 6 pot fronts as long as the SZ AWD uses the same bolt up pattern as the F6X set up which then brings me to the fact that you have to modify the top of the upright by grinding two flat spots to allow the bracket and caliper to clear as this is what they had to do to the F6X. A total price with fitting would be a guess at around $6k to $7k but if your in the ball park i can get something firmer for you.

Also keen on an indicative price for 378mm rotor and hat to suit Fg ute.

I am trying to fit some Z18 brembos up front and want to go bigger than 355 diameter.

You will also need brackets made but from experience the FG does not like bigger size rotors on there hubs as we see so much flex and pad knock off from these but it can be done if the caliper will fit the radius of that size rotor.
Depending on what pad surface area you need for the rotor and if you go strap drive or just bolt up will determine price as will a one off set of brackets.

Hey mate,

Just a quick enquiry. I have purchased an FGX XR8 and seriously considering upgrading to a 6/4 setup what can I utilise from the original setup (rotors) as they are new. And what would be an approximate cost including braided lines. What pads would you recommend that aren't massively aggressive on the rotors and dust like mad (may be impossible to get both but obviously a compromise) track work is a possibility. I would like to upgrade to 2 piece rotors on the front later but don't really want to bin a new set of OE fronts if they will suit the 6's if you know what I mean. Your help would be gretatly appreciated.

Cheers Ryan

Depending on what pad surface area you need for the rotor and if you go strap drive or just bolt up will determine price as will a one off set of brackets.
Thanks for the heads up.. With the bracket defelection, is this more common with radial mount setups or also a problem with lug mount arrangements too?

I'm happy to make my own brackets I guess the key factor for the disc selection will be the swept depth of the ~378 mm rotor.

My preference would be a fixed 2 piece rather than floating disc. I see there is a listing for an Audi (perhaps TTRS and RS3 ) which runs a 370x32 2 piece rotor all be it with the incorrect 5x112 PCD and smaller centre bore, which may be a potential contender..

Cheers Ryan
Ryan the only thing you can use is the brembo front 355mm rotors but really it isn't worth it and i would sell them along with the rest of the brakes you remove as a complete brake kit.
The black Brembo's are very competitive in price compared to the reds at the moment and everything you need including the two piece front and braided lines would cost you $5900. The new 4/1 combo on your car when removed for sale as a complete kit should get you between $2000 to $2500 max. The red Brembo 6/4 kit with the 2 piece dba and the braided is about $6900

The radial mount setup with a bracket is really converted to a lug mount set up anyway so i don't think the problem is there plus the radial to lug bracket would be stronger. The problems are more from the flex of the larger size rotor on the hub area but we can get you up to a 378mm disc if you need one plus a hat.

Thankyou for the quick replie. This may be a silly question but what is the diffrence between the red and black brembo's other than the paint colour? Sorry I'm not really up to date with that stuff.

Cheers Ryan
