have to make the most of every session of play without losing wickets with this sort of weather around as the d/l method is likely to come into play and i reckon that always favours the team batting 1st.
just hope all the experienced guys rub off on the not so experienced so the situation doesn't get to overpowering. luckily for us our whole batting lineup have all been there before at least once except clark i think. |

there is a reserve day tomorrow so if there is any more interuptions lets hope they utilise the extra day instead of shortening the game any further. like heals, tubby and o'donnel have said. this is the world cup final. it needs to be decided in a decent length game of cricket. a 20/20 just wouldn't cut it. 38 overs each is not too bad. should still get 200+.

Was a slow start but a few 6's from Ghilly has fixed that and no loss so far 17th over 98-0

yep, gilly likes the big occasions. at this rate a score close to 300 is possible. plenty of batting to come. glad i stayed up. well worth the lack of sleep.

Sri Lanka need 282 of 38 overs. Than goodness for Gilly.
Now we just need some good bowling, particually in the 1st few overs to ensure any rain stopages doesnt penalise us for our slow 1st 8 overs. A wicket should fix that though. |

4/281 off 38 overs. more than most teams get of 50 overs. hopefully s.jayusuria gets out early so i can go to bed. unlikely they will get there anyway but pitch looks good.
