Well, that explains it. They needed so much space to roll out of either side of the car.

^^^^ That is a Photoshop job, and a bad one at that. The EL has the same ride height in both pics, indicating no use of the brake at all (the front should have dived in the top pic). All the leaves are motionless on the road, indicating no vehicle movement in either picture. The front passenger seat is larger and closer to the driver in the bottom pic, and the tree behind the car is smaller, as is the rear view mirror. The hump for the centre brake light is missing on the bottom pic as well.

Not to mention the fact that from the angle she is to the hood, he has to have hit her at around 80km/h, at least. Sorry love, but even if you walk out in front of a car doing 75km/h, your gunna get more than a bruised leg.

At that speed, the LH headlight should be cracked, as well as some damage to the bumper.

Also, there appears to be a very small chicken crossing the road to the right of the car in to top pic.

Photoshop FAIL.

Haha mate, good spotting. The original Ad itself is an epic fail for realism. What a shame they had to use an EL.

.GIF files move, but aren't videos.

All a video is is a sequence of pictures, so technically a video is just 25 pictures being flicked through every second (for PAL).

.GIF is an image format buddy.

a .GIF is no more a video than grandma flicking through pictures on an old projector.

For reference

jpg, bmp, gif, png, tiff, targ are all examples of picture/image formats

mov, avi, mpg (and it's other variants), wmv, etc. are video formats.

Mkay?

anyone else see the fail here? first up your saying a video IS a series of images... then i say well then a gif will be classified as a video (going by your statement)

and for the record an ANIMATED gif can NOT be taken with a camera.. the only way to make a animated gif is to add multiple pictures so technically not a valid image style

I have a mini digital camera that can produce animated .gif images.

.GIF is an image format, that is what it is.

Quote:
The Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) is a bitmap image format that was introduced by CompuServe in 1987 and has since come into widespread usage on the World Wide Web due to its wide support and portability. The format supports up to 8 bits per pixel thus allowing a single image to reference a palette of up to 256 distinct colors. The colors are chosen from the 24-bit RGB color space. It also supports animations and allows a separate palette of 256 colors for each frame. The color limitation makes the GIF format unsuitable for reproducing color photographs and other images with continuous color, but it is well-suited for simpler images such as graphics or logos with solid areas of color.
In summary, Huggiebear is wrong.

Getting back on topic would be awesome.

I think the real question here is "why did the chicken cross the road?".

That's a disaster waiting to happen.

I still remember the day mum drove into our street and I witnessed a bearded guy pouring the contents (black used motor oil) from a large jerry can into a stormwater drain... He smiled and waved at us as we drove past.

Start a new thread if you want to debate it.
The thread is about Epic Fails, not GIF animation.
Move on and leave it alone.
