You shouldn't have left your car there by the looks of all those parking tickets or are they promises from young girls who like classic cars?

All promises. The girls went wild. Weak at the knees when they saw old Nancy.

On the topic of the stickers and bulges on non GT, I've seen plenty of XY GT's around the place. They got the GT stripes and they have the GT badge on the boot and in the grille. Most of these cars arn't GT's. They are just Falcon 500's done up to look like a GT. Sure nice job, but look at the compliance plate and the codes tell you its a Falcon 500 sedan. Just look in the paper or unique cars and the ones that are up for sale are being sold as GT!!!! So isn't it a bit silly to put a shaker, bonnet and side stripes, GT rims and badges all over the car if its not a genuine GT. I would have thought it was far worst to make your car upto something its not, by place GT badges on the car. Its funny, but no-one ever gives it a 2nd thought. We just admire the classic muscle. Maybe the 70's were the beginning of the rice period. But with late model cars, stick a bulge on your NA 6 and suddenly your a try hard. 1 Bonnet or a set of stripes I don't think is as much a crime as sticking a GT badge on you Falcon 500. Food for thought?

Mate whack em on anything. Like cannon mufflers with more capacity than the engine, we need more stripes. They simply can't be overdone.

Let me point out a simple flaw in your logic.... *most* of the GT reps getting around have much more horsepower than the real GTs, and bizzarely enough, 99% of the GT reps with shakers actually have the right number of cylinders..... Nice XR6 tho chief, be better if it had a motor that needs the buldge

I doubt anyone in a GT gives a what others do to there non-GT's. If anything, might make them feel good about actually being in a real GT.

Also, a GT isnt just about the outside (bulge and stripes).

I'm not a very logical person. Actually a mate just bought a GT replica. Picked it up yesterday. XY silver with orange stripes. Shes a beauty. She even has that 34 year old car smell. Haven't been for a spin yet, but hopefully this weekend.

Thanks. It used to have 8 cylinders, but I sent 2 off for dry cleaning. They haven't come back yet. You know the bulge makes me feel all masculine. Its my security blanket. :

I don't like stripes really at all either. On a GT or not.

Put em on anything you want though, buldges, stripes - who cares. If you like it, do it

I just saw a xr6 turbo ute with bonnet bulge and bulge stickers saying XR6 turbo. (Orange stickers on silver paint) The bonnet bulge is bad enough on a 6 but with the stickers... man it's just wrong on so many levels. Don't do it people.

Is it your car? if not, why worry about it? At least it is saying what it is on the decals, it looks hot so why can't they do it?

Thread mining is cool. A thread goes really quiet and then someone just says one thing, and it's like the mother in law. It goes on and on and on and It never goes away. :

It's like when you download a peice of trial software and try it for 30 days. Your so impressed by it, that instead of going out to buy a full retail version, you just crack it. Then its yours forever :
