Slowly climbing this chimney but its easy ground and good access. Almost time to pull out the scaffold as I go higher. Climbing up and down, bracket pinning, cutting, recutting is where it starts to slow.
This self isolation is good in a way (for me) as I don't have as much curious interruptions as normal. Should be halfway up by mid week. Quarry is still open as is the sand and cement supplier but kind of felt stupid hoarding bags of cement. Finding a granite window sill that deep is going be fun.

Dont say that. I bought my mum a pineapple plant a few years ago as a token gift, yeah i get your talking a $50 note, but it was the cheaper option. It was only 30$.. but that thing has fruited twice and has re cultivated twice. So nothing bad comes from pineapples.

you gotta be kidding me... a new house fair go.
Pineapple as in fruit? I am not supposed to go out so how can I buy one, then as Rallye Sport lives in Westralia...where in ding dong is that? Wherever, they wont allow fruit or fruitbats into their country...

Now you first have to go to bunnings to buy a pineapple plant, but you have to make sure your legs dont get tired as you have to walk past all the man stuff and into the section that looks like weeds, but weeds with price tags. Those are called plants. Thats where comedic, and well received, pineapples come from

Anyway back on topic, What made me feel good today? Seeing the Mrs a recently unemployed chef get straight back on the horse and sign up for a Tafe course in Diet and Nutrition. She'll be back, stronger than ever

I called work today as we had aggreed to reassess what work is on after 3 days. After being told come back on monday, 2 minutes after hanging up my big boss calls up and 5 minutes later i was in the car heading into work. So that puts my mind at ease knowing i have meaningful work to do instead of just using all my leave in such an uncertain time. Its just a bit sketchy that its the 1 building we work in that has had multiple confirmed cases of the corona virus and i have to go floor to floor. But work is better then no work.

I felt a little more than back to normal today.
Friday morns for a long time have been a hit and giggle with a mate at a small golf course followed by a nice brekky at the local cafes. Obviously this has been interupted rudley by a chinese corona I'm not happy jan about. Well this morn felt like a new dawn having a game, got a sensational takeaway egg and bacon rap that I normally would have had, it was delicious OR maybe it was feeling like life was back to normal for a moment. and my caffiene, I love caps, a large one thanks tasted perfect ! Yes we hung on the back of my utes tail gate 2mtrs apart, and watching nice young/er fillys doing their mornign walks, great morning !

I sent my kid a photo of the signwriting that got done on my work car. So i asked his opinion over the phone. The best part about getting an opinion from a 10 year old, its brutally honest. He likes it. He tells me now everyone knows who i work for. Work went all out on the sign writing. My past work cars had just subtle signage on just the doors. The new one has the doors done the same and all out on the body on the back. Yeah great advertising for the company i work for. But its my daily driver, so its deffinately identifiable from a distance. Its the first time my boss has bought proper fit for purpose work cars, he bought the same for the other service guy, and now as opposed to just being the real deal, we look it too, so from a company standpoint, it makes sense slapping logos and phone numbers on new decked out vehicles. I just preffered the plain white as yeah, i daily that thing. But unbiassed opinion from my kid i find true, but funny. Thats the best part about kids, they dont sugar coat anything. My little unit is a top little bloke.

Doing some grinding, had safety glasses and muffs on, but a bit flew under the glasses and into my eye.
Very small speck, but made my eye very irritated. Using my daughters magnified make up mirror I could see a tiny speck on the edge of my pupil. Held my lids open and tried to dab it, no luck, tried a cotton bud, no luck. So I got a magnet, stuck it on my eye (after washing it) and bingo, job done. I feel good now.

Cool, what's it going to be?
For me, one of the many things I had to sell to fund getting my ute back on the road was my playstations, all vgc, including the original with time crisis. I miss 'light' gun games, can't complain since I sold it to a collector with a CRT for good money. Also made a heap of cash with N64 stuff last year. Got like $350 for ps stuff and $500 for n64 stuff I just realised now that sega made a gun game for the wii (only console I have left) called ghost squad. Hours of pointy shooty fun, way better than stick control aiming or auto aim etc that other consoles have. |
