It was something I heard in an interview, the commodore's higher bootline improved rear wing function, and that this was by design. It could be all talk, but when they threw a billion at the VE and no small fortune at the Holden-running V8SC teams/drivers, it doesn't seem unreasonable to me that they wouldnt leave the car's design entirely to chance, does it?

The aero kits are designed to match the drag specs provided. Makes little relevance as if the specs are too high they just cut the wing size back, so doesn't matter what shape the body is really.
