Had an inconsiderate neighbours for a while, try my method if you want. My problem only took 3 goes to learn, whilst power tools or music are going late night or very early mornings, constantly trip the safety switch in power box or remove a fuse. Then feel the need to prune your garden with a chainsaw just before 7am for an hour. They weren't the brightest boys but if you can train a puppy by association they will eventually get the hint.

Oh of course he doesn't work and he's the only one of my neighbours that doesn't work (as far as I can tell).

I'm seriously considering setting my 1000 Watt P.A. system up and blasting him out of bed at 8am but I don't want to be that guy.

I'm a sparky so best not to mess with his power, he'd know it was me.

To be clear, I mean 8am on a Saturday or Sunday because I'm out of the house and gone by 6.30am so I can't do anything on weekdays.

No No, just go right ahead, even if it only makes you feel better for it.
Try a lawn mower or, even better, a leaf blower.

Yep, being an early riser has taught me that common courtesy isn't common any more.

Nah, I have too much common courtesy. By the way, I'm up so late typing this now because the power tools are going again. Called the police so they'll be the ones knocking on his door this time.

I wonder what he could be making in there?

I hate those stupid little square serviette dispensers they have at cafes.
You need three hands to get a serviette, they cannot be removed without tearing, and one serviette is about the size of a postage stamp.

Just an update for anyone interested.

I don't know what the law said to my neighbour last night but noise stopped straight as the patrol car entered the street. Funny how he noticed their presence. I don't like to call the fuzz but he gave me no choice by not answering the door after I tried knocking about a million times. I have neighbours with little kids too so I think it's inconsiderate that he forced me to call the cops.

I spoke with my neighbour with the kids this arvo, and quietly told him I was the one that called. He actually thanked me because the noise was driving his youngest (6 month old) nuts and he was going to call but said he was hesistant because our loud neighbour has been known to smash car windows, key other peoples cars and slash tyres.

Hopefully this is the end of it.

On that topic, KFC for making their moist toweletts half the size the used to be, and only giving you one only when you order greasy chicken.

Being winter, I'm also enjoying (ha) the neighbours wood fires belching out smoke into the air during the day. Absolutely love (hate!) that too.

yep my 2 and a bit year old LG started doing this a few months ago. I moved all the apps that could be moved to the external card (google apps and stuff that came on the phone couldn't be moved).. then it started happening again so i deleted some apps and would have to uninstall updates for google apps to let apps i use update.

i fixed the problem by buying a new phone with more internal storage.

The way infomercials go from bright colours to grey or b/w when they show the negatives of other products they are competing with.

How real estate agents put a 'movie' of the listing before / after the images only to find the movie is a slide show of the same pictures with a little zooming in and out...

Heating seats, are great fun for switching on in the middle of summer whilst the missus isn't looking. Beyond that, I can't see much point in Australia, especially not in a budget range like Kia.
Similarly I don't think the majority of Australians are familar enough with stop-start to make it attractive.

I was watching mythbusters where they destroyed 3 WB Festivas (USA name?). I noticed that they all had driver and passenger airbag. No airbags at all available in OZ yet car had them. Go figure....

I hate it when people just throw stuff out in the yard or paddock, leave it to rot for a few years, then try to sell it for top dollar. I went looking at a pair of "leather" seats, and old mate takes round the side of his shed where they have been rotting for who knows how long. So not only are the frames completely rusted out, but they actually had vegetation growing in them
and he wants over $100.

Worse it when something breaks down, so they dismantle it, throw it out the back of the workshop to rust for a few years, then try to flog it by claiming it was still working.
I know that if I'm buying something 2nd hand it will have issues, but I like to know what I'm buying so I know if it can be fixed.

What really "peeves" me to tears is when you make somebody a decent offer (which by default is a better offer than the other 20M people in the country) and they carry on like you're cutting their throat.
Old mate has his car for sale, ridiculously overpriced, but then says he must sell and will take best offer. So, without insulting him or telling him that his price is laughable, I tell that I'm interested, but have a limited budget, don't want to waste his time but if he gets no better offers let me know. He initially responds as though I am wanting to buy one of his children.
After a few weeks he contacts me to say that he'll accept my price, so naturally I ask for more details, photos, etc, and want to arrange inspection. He carries on a like a pork chop, that I am taking advantage of him, and for that money he's not providing any further info or letting me inspect the car. "Take it or leave it" says he. So guess what sunshine, I left it.

I cannot comprehend the mindset of people that look at the most expensive example, of a mint or fully restored (which is usually somebody who doesn't want to sell) and conclude that their rusted POS is still worth almost as much. I mean the math is self explanatory! If your car, plus a $20k resto, is worth $25k, then at best your car is worth $5k. Not $10k, and certainly not $15k!

And here's the thing; at the end of the day its a free country (at least on gumtree) and you can advertise for whatever you like. Chances are that if its too extreme then people like me won't even bother you.
If you INVITE offers, people will make them, and yet again its totally your choice whether to accept or not. Even if you feel my offer is way to low, and you really don't want to sell, its STILL totally YOUR choice.

What has peeved me off is automotive work shops lies.
Tell me the car has to be there at 8 am so they can start on it straight away and get it back to me.I work nights so 8 is hard for me.It was in for new sturts and shocks G6E.
Drop off at 7.55 am they tell me will call when finished.Get call at 2.45 pm.
Go pick it up labour bill is $295.00. Get home and decided to look at my dash cam car does not move till 9.55 out the back struts and shocks in back out the front for a wheel alignment 1045 test drive 1055 back in the car park at 1100 and I get the call at 2.45,
Are they trying to justify the labour bill? buy calling late?
Cheers Paul

Don't understand why people go to the effort of buying a limited edition "trim pack" (Like an AU XR8 "Rebel') then proceed to bastardize it?

Lost both my big toenails from snowboarding in the backcountry and feet getting too cold on the way back in.

Dont you hate it how you hardly ever stub your toes but when you do it comes in waves? This is especially painfull when you have only 1/4 of a toenail. I reckon i have stubbed my big toe 5 times this week, today i did it so hard i had tears and lost my breath. Pretty sure this new toenail growing back is going to die as well

Or when replacing the head gasket. You find a damaged bore that initiates a full engine tear down and rebuild with a new block. Pretty much a totally new motor.

It happens I suppose. Hopefully not for another 10 or 20 years now.
