Looks like one hell of a truck, the interior looks superb. Just noticed the speedo of the V8 goes all the way to 160mph/258kph! WoW |

I believe that it looks terrible. I've never been a fan of trucks myself, but that is not for me.
I don't mind the look of the Territory..except that's in a different class. That is also not a biased opinion. |

Agreed...........that is UGLY as SIN....... Definitely optical pollution. They could have done much better, especially being the Top end LEXUS model. It will easily get swamped by TOUAREG, XC, X5 and Q7........ |

I could live with that (not that I'd buy one as it's pointless for me). One gripe is the bumper under the tailgate looks very ordinary.

That is boring and ugly as. Whats with toyota and their boring and ugly cars that sell like crazy :|. Surely reliability isnt everything in a car. I'd buy a falcon knowing that it'd go through a lot more troubles then a toyota would. But meh, looks and goes much better.

It is not much of an evolution for what is a very aging model - It may work in the Troopy not to change much, but Crusier? I understand too that there will not be a 'base' model - if you want that, you buy the new Troopy series (forget the actual series)

Sure, it looks like poo but it doesnt look as bad as Kluger II. That thing is an abomination.
Shame people will buy it over the Territory too. |

Will still be the #1 towing vehicle around... hence my dad and everyone else that owns a 100 series will probably buy another.

Looks like the new Land Cruiser commited hara-kiri, up there along with the new Subaru Impreza - why do Mitsubishi and Nissan seem like the only sane Japanese car makers at the minute?

meh.
What is a land cruiser for? belting over a sand dune or to protect the heir to your corporate empire. I liked them when they were the mercenary vehicle of choice, now it just seems they have caved in and become oversized suburban cars for american tastes. Id buy it only if I needed it, but how many people can really say they need it. I cant see why you would buy it for its looks. its sooo... meh. imo

A lot of happy people on the forum today! Isn't life wonderful? I have driven the 70 series, believe me, it's not that good. Personally I think the 200 series will be much better, but will drive it before i make up my mind.

They've kept the tradition of making the interior look like it's from a 15 years older car & the exterior just looks like a more effeminate version of what they've been selling for the last twenty years.

I don't reckon that it's that much uglier than the 100 series. You would have to love the twin turbo diesel v8. For those people who bleat on about it being soft if I had to traverse 20 KM of blacksoil to get to my front gate I'd rather do it in one of those than a stinking 70 series.
It should sell well here considering it's opposition in Australia. Patrol with a 4 cyl Diesel with a less than stellar reputation and an outdated body or a Landrover Disco which is at best a niche vehicle in Australia due to bad management of the dealer network and poor after sales support. Having said that I'd still buy a Disco. Regards, Tote

Ugly as sin. No doubt it'll be brilliant off-road, but come on... it's a LandCruiser. Nothing to get excited about for me.
