Been doing some thinking lately about upgrading one of my cars. I may or I may not, just gotta start some where. So what is the market like now. BA's are dropping. AU's naturally have as well. What would you think would be a fair price. I know roughly what to expect, but really just after opinions.
AU3 XR6. Silhouette, VCT, Auto, Premium Sound, Premium Brakes, Factory Sunroof, 19" Rims, and Leather interior. XR50 body kit with Stripes. 87,000 k's. Not after offer's on the car. Just wanting to know what to expect. I have 3 cars in mind what to upgrade to. 1 car I'll be looking at getting rid of the focus for, and the other 2, then the XR6 has to make way for the new addition. Once I know what I'm doing, I'll advertise one of the cars. Till then just testing the waters. |

Sad thing is that if you took it back to stock standard you would probably get the same price anyway. I would think maybe $13000 max. I got $9500 for my AU S1 but that was a lucky sale...

Around here an easy $16-17k. In somewere like Mt Isa, or Darwin closer to $20k. You wont find a stock series 3 xr6 vct here for $13k

It's a hard decision Bucky, you've put a lot of work into that car. You've got a fantastic base for more mods (how about super 'mobile theatre' interior?). If you were upgrading to something different that you wouldn't mod, that might be ok but if you do the mod thing again, that vicious cycle will haunt your poor wallet.

Hey Bucky
my old XR6 with the same bodykit as yours, 180,000ks and standard interior (no leather) traded in for 11000 at a car yard

Bucky - seeing as I have the rest of your car anyway, if you do decide to sell it, and you come up with a price you are after, please let me know as I would seriously consider buying it, even if I have to hock my soul!

Mate, I know you dont want offers, so I wont make one, but the previously mentioned money would be yours tomorrow if you wanted it for that car, easy.

Thanks for the posts guys. Seeing that thread earlier re the 6 supercharger, this could be the new direction I'm heading. It sounds promosing.
JC, you'd love my car, but its way too much rice for you to handle. : Anyway, I am off to Sydney next Saturday and I am booked it to look at a car. Will have the car with me, going to ask out of curiosity, then add 20% to what he quotes me :hihi: |

I'm following that thread with keen interest. Nudge had many issues with emissions, so I'm going to see how a few of you guys go first.
Thanks again for all the replies, Casper, you can close this thread. Thanks |
