We need JC, as I think he posted a pic of the very item a while back. Here is a pic of where it's located on an I6 though, at least then you'll know what it looks like.
Here's one of it off. Cheers, GK

I would clean it with carby clean, not brake clean. Just spray inside liberally, block the holes with your fingers shake, empty, and repeat until the liquid coming out is no longer black.

Don't be tempted to clean the throttle body while you are at it as they have a special coating that can be damaged with the cleaners.

Main concern is the ISC I was told. Idles in an up and down motion very frustrating> And cranks fine aftre a long trip but just wont kick over sometimes. Heard this wqas a common problem being too much fuel so apparently put fuoot flat to floor and crank. But I hope this may kinda have a swipe at both problems. I do appreciate the feedback. As forcd could not help and a cuople of others were stumped. But iy would never do it infront of them. Even my wife says it dosent happen to her. But then again I supprised she knows where to put the key. LOL

If I do decide to clean throttle body, NULON THROTTLE BODY & CARBY CLEANER would be OK? It wont damage coating will it? ANy feedback on this product or others better.

Ford warn not to clean it as the cleaner destroys the special coating.
I am not sure what sort of solvent is in the Nulon cleaner. I would E-mail Nulon asking if it is safe to use on the V8 throttle body |

I think the Nulon Throttle body and Carby cleaner is different to the the special Nulon Throttle body cleaner. It is what Ford recommended I use to clean it as it doesn't have the harsh solvents that can take the coating (teflon type stuff) off.
How's the car going anyways mate?

All will be pleased I was able to pick up a can of NULON in seymour. I was astonished I thought it was a trip to Melbourne for sure(All Victorians). And not to mention I got %20 more at no charge in the can $11.98.
Now to the problem, I only did the ISC left the throttle body( Is it still ness to clean?) Car is a MASSIVE improvement. Noe it will give a larger BOBBLE on pulling up then nothing but sweetness. I AM astonished at the help from all you guys (Ray gives all contributors a cookie) gave as my problem is no more so far. Next test is the HWY run see if cranks and kicks straight up. Not the sometimes crank, crank, crank, etc, etc then kick. Hopefully we (I) have erradicated the demons. Again I thank you all enough. |

The only ones that got the sticker were the 220kw engines and I think the strokers.
