ring around all the reputable importers and see what they have or can get.
ive read here you can get a car landed from the U.S for 4k or less - including all fees and paperwork (price of car itself not included).
old cars are dirt cheap over there, cheaper to import than buy an old yank tank locally.

CRUZIN magazine has a For Sale section in the back. Always some good finds in there.

You know something about "old school"? When some of us were in "old school" we learned how to spell, "old school". Unlike now, where it seems people are taught only enough to read from the McDonalds Menu.

Let me translate

Hi, I'm after an old car like a Cadillac or something of similar size, which is built like tank. I want to build a lowrider. So i was wondering if there are any sites that deal with selling old cars. Anything under $10,000, and it must be able to be moved under it's own power. I don't care about the condition, if it has rust or interior is well worn.

Cheers

Correction. It is actually OL' SKOOL. Old School is for restorers. Thats my 20 cents worth and once again, the 20 cent piece is rusty and im in no hurry to clean it up.

Any reasonable 50/51 mercury is cost a heap in Aus, even in the states they are 40k.
