Hi,
Maybe a strange question however my Father in Law has come to the age where he wants to rekindle his past and get a Blue XY GT Replica Ute built. About 12 months ago he reckons he found a place in NSW that actually builds XY's to order - be that if there are any parts/bodies still available. If anyone has any contact details, it would be much appreciated. Regards Blake |

My apologies for my ignorance on this. He basically is looking to get a xy ute in the blue that they came in with the chromies, 351 etc. I'm sure he would be more specific in what he actually wants - I'm just looking for some contact details. Something like this but in blue: http://www.fordmusclecars.com.au/vie...asp?ItemID=693

An XY ute done up as an XY GT....there probably not many guys here who wouldnt give their left nut for same thing....
I hope he realises what its likely to cost him to pay someone else to build something like this....especially given the ridiculous money people are paying for anything that even remotely resembles an XY these days.

It would be cheaper to buy one than pay someone to build from scratch, try Mltucker from this site too.
Can i ask why a ute?? GT's were Sedans/Coupes...! Utes are to haul hay and bricks!

my dad and i are currently doing an XW ute to GT spec.
its cost us about $10000 so far, not including the car purchase price, and the most expensive part is still left, the interior. Its silver fox, reflective orange stripes, 351, Fmx (spewin about this part). i'll try and get some pics up. |
