Default FALCON wording on boot garnish

Hi guys,

I have a AU Series II Falcon

Just wondering if anyone knows about the F A L C O N spelt on the rear boot garnish.

Mine has faded and was wondering if there are stickers available or do I have to get it repainted.
It looks like it used to be silver at some stage.

On my Fairmont the lettering is recessed.

If your lettering is also recessed all you have to do is clean the old lettering with Prepsol or similar, get some paint and a small paintbrush and paint the letters.

Don't be concerned about getting excess paint on the non-recessed surface as it can be wiped off with turps or thinners or even polished off if it dries.

An addendum is in order.

I was down at the shops this morning and noticed on a Forte that the garnish is painted the same colour as the car (on my Fairmont the garnish is chromed) so I would not be doing it my way on a painted garnish.

A careful repaint with a touch up pen would probably be as good as any.

Apologies for confusion.

Yeah, the falcon's have the body coloured garnish, the Monty's have the Chrome.
