Default au weights from handbook..

Just some interesting facts from my au 1 ford handbook..The weights are in kgs..

au sedan forte 1493
au wagon forte 1585
au sedan futura 1520
au wagonfutura 1600
au xr series 1510
fairmont sedan 1530
fairmont wagon 1610
ghia 1610

The utes were not listed in my book.If anyone has the ford ute book please post up .The Above are for the six cylinder engined cars.V8 weight exactly 20 kgs more.

While I know these figures must be wrong they are accurate for comparison purposes. My wagon weighs 1720 kgs for sure!!Being a futura I can safely say that the sedan weighs 80 kgs less..

uhh. this isn't the first time we've had this type of thread. next we'll have people claiming the xr6s were lighter than the fortes, that the forte's are actually 1300kg or 1800kg cos someone saw it once on the scales at the dump etc.

Petrol + your weight (if you were in the car) + any tools you may be carrying
120kg's isn't a massive amount

Speaking of scales at the tip .... I have recorded a combined weight of 4.3T before with the ute + car trailer + rubbish.

Ooops.
