Hi, have got a TE cortina ghia with a 2L pinto auto, very interested in putting in a 250 with a manual box.
does anyone have any links to threads or pages on this conversion, i had a bit of a search but couldnt find what i was after, any advice is much appreciated, cheers. |

Pretty simple conversion.
need to cutout the front radiator support. as the 6cyl sits in the notch. need 6cyl mounts of the body. an to the engine of course. the 4 cyl gearbox crossmember mounts are in a different spot to the 6cyl ones.. so need to cut them and re-weld them. or make up a adaptor for the 6cyl box. and also use a 6cyl tailshaft and change the diff flange from the flat 4 bolt flange... to the flange off a 6cyl diff. it's a bit of muckin around.. but those r the things needed to change. Also try and find the brace that goes across the bottom of the tunnel on the 6 cyl
250 in a corty are heaps of fun

little bit more work than i anticipated, nothing a bit of a wreckers hunt wouldnt solve though, thanks for the info guys.

Be cheaper to find a donor car than going to wreckers.
