Awesome. The stock GT-R is a hell of a car already, imagine the heavily tuned ones by Nismo & MiNE's.

Nismo R35 GT-R Z-Tune anyone?

I know mate, I'm pumped

It's only early days for GT-R tuning but there's a bucket load of potential in the car.

Owch.. Am I the only one who thinks that what they are charging is just madness? What are the upgrade / aftermarket prices for the likes of Aston Martin, Porsche, Ferrari etc?

Or is that what the market is willing to pay these days?

The price is insane for a couple of kilo weight loss and a Titanium muffler being the only performance part of the deal.

This suprises you? People pay $150k for a Commodore and over $500k for an old as Falcon.

Yes, I am surprised. Do you not find $19 grand for a pair of seats or an exhaust upgrade excessive?

Besides, in 6 months i'm sure Tempe will have Chinese replicas of that wheel package for $2999, or less for CASSSSSSSSSSSSSSH :

In my experience, people that can afford cars like the R35 GT-R can also afford those Nismo mods no problem.

Exactly... the price is inflated, but relative.

Still imagine if HSV/FPV did stuff like this, 20g 'track pack' on top of a Clubsport/GT (or F6!)

Guys, I haven't followed the new GTR at all, I think they were benchmarking it against a Porsche of some kind weren't they?

Anyway just wondering how that went? And is this car good/great? Why is it good/great?

Thanks

Craig

It's ridiculously fast, 0-100 in less than 3 seconds, and does the quarter in well under 12 seconds. Laps the Nurburgring in 7.29...
It's handling is clinical, almost too clinical, and it generates enough grip to warrant neck excercises before track days. That's all I know.

Ok thanks...

I don't know if you are serious about the neck exercises or not

But WOW, I had no idea it was that sharp!

Although the Lap time doesn't mean much to me without other models for comparison.

It did give some british guy a whip-lash midcorner when he was fanging the GT-R around the Fuji Circuit.

Btw the GT-R was benchmarked against the 997 911 Turbo.

those wheels arn't exclusively for the GTR. but they are hell expensive anyway! about 1k each corner, then you've got $800+ for the front tyres and 1k+ for the rear tyres. the suspension would be about 8-9k worth of gear.these prices are fair enough but the rear diffuser i'd say about 5k, The titanium could be bought from mines or HKS for around 5k, and why bother with the 19k worth of nismo seats when you can get some Recaro's for about 2-5k which will hold you better then ya mum!.

as the posts underneath the article says. why would you want to spend more then 2/3rds of the price of the car on a few lil mods like that!
