Default NSW - New laws for L / P Drivers

I was reading on another forum that in NSW now if you are a L or P Driver and do more than 30 kph over the speed limit you get suspended on the spot for three months, also any one caught learner unaccompanied get suspended on the spot (as well as the fines that come with it)

In NSW P1 offenders get 3 months for ANY speeding offence. 30k's or more over you'll probably be hung.

I got pulled up for speeding just over 3 weeks ago. Unmarked got me as i pulled in from overtaking another car. I got doen doing 124km/h which is 34km/h over..What happens is they split speeding fines up into categories like 15km/h over 30km/h over etc. I was let off in the 15km/h over category and got a $243 fine and lose my license for 3 months..starting in about a months time

not exactly new laws i wouldn't think. 15yrs ago when i got mine there was a zero tolerance on anything you did wrong. learners could only go 80kph. 'p' could go 100kph. only had 4 demerit points but generally any infringement, esp speed related would give you a holiday from driving for 3-6 months.
