Hi guys, i finally got me Capa flash tuner, but before i they send the generic tune (to start with) they told me that i need to get the computer code off the car, i assumed that it's the ecu which is behind the passanger side kick pane, correct??? i had a look for this code but i cant seem to find it, do i have to remove it to find the code? any help would be great.
Thanks all... |

REmoving it is the easiest way, although you can use a mirror as well to get the code. It will be a combo of four digits, like 3DFA or 12QB.

yes, or get a mirror and angle it to the bottom. the code is on the bottom of the ecu when it is in it's normal position

WTDB is the "catch code" CAPA will recognise.
As a matter of interest, is the 7-digit code something like N9XJ4F9? That code would be useful information for the Aussie EEC hacking project.

That would be way off-topic... :monkes:
There is a thread in the ECU forum in the Workshop, also a couple of threads in the ECU forum on fordmods. It's mostly EF-EL focused ATM but applies equally to the AU.
