Default Barina gets 4 star safety rating

Now that the Barina gets a 4 star safety rating watch Holden marketing flog this. It will be interesting to see if Barina sales increase because of this latest rating

Its better then the previous 2 star it had. At least they finally got of thier *** and fixed the problem up. Still wouldn't buy the car (dont trust nor like small cars) but at least the target market (P-Platers wont be driving in a tin coffin).

I can see the ad now;

"The all new Holden Barina, now with a 4 star safety rating.

The best rating our money could buy!!"

Nah it'll be along the lines of the diesel epica ad

Somehow we're to believe that Holden decided to change the way we look at diesels so they built one for us.....yeah right, If they could have built a diesel model why didn't they put one into a commodore??
And the people buy it hook line and sinker.

So the Barina add will be "We at Holden thought Australia needed a small car with the safety of a large car (see Commodore) , so we built one......JUST FOR YOU!"

Holden Barina, Crash Better!

"The new Holden Barina, now with a 4 star rating thanks to having 4 airbags as standard.

You're going to need them considering that ABS is a 1k optional extra

Holden GO"

Crash avoidance is more important than clinical tests involving consistencies as Wheels magazine shows with it's WASP feature.

Would be interesting to see how the Barina would perform under WASP criteria.

As for Holden marketing the 4 star crash rating - can't see it hapening. Why would this be a result you would spend money on advertising? It's not exceptional.

HAHAHAH didnt this weeks Top Gear AUS mention the same thing??

Is it just me but ive been seeing quite a few new ford ads about fiesta/focus on tv and radio, like every day, but the bigger makes (falcon/territory) have somewhat dropped off a bit?

Bring on the 2009 Fiesta maybe 5 stars? Even at 4 old and new are still a cut above the asian stuff.

Holden May Go better (not in my opinion) but they definetly don't stop better, I'd like to see Ford have that in their ads

Ahh but remember, the State of Victoria is set to mandate, for all new-market passenger cars, 'for the purposes of sale in that state and for registration in same', for;- EBS, certain airbags, ABS by 2010-2011. The flow-on effect should be national, and it will of course prevent the sale of say umm cheap Chinese and Indian vehicles.....

I have picked up 3 newspapers in the last couple of days and this has been the "headline news" in the motoring section in all 3 of them!

The Marketing Machine over at Holden must be working overtime on getting the "BIG NEWS" out there on this one.
