Hey guys
Just wondering if AU VCT's need to be "tuned" to run on 98 Octane fuel? My dad has a AU1 Ghia (VCT) and we were discussing this because of the possibility of me owning a AU3 XR6 VCT soon Cheers Daniel

no special tuning needed if you want to put 98 in, in fact it will give you more power and better fuel economy....so they say. It will run noticeably better with the 98, it may take 2 or 3 tanks...but you will notice.

Sure, you may get some better economy from running the 98 due to it being a slightly better burning fuel (higher octane = better burn), but not enough to justify the 12 to 15c price increase.

Ok thanks
So can your local ford mechanic tune it to run on 98ron or does it have to be a special flash tune?
