a bit diffrent, but maybe what your looking for.

Pretty much on par with buying an XR front end and changing it all over (before paint).

The problem with those, is that the small light and the large light are the wrong way around. It looks confused.. If the small light was on the inside somehow and the large light was on the outside, it would look a little more like an XR.

It's a work in progress. I have the C2R bar to go on at some stage, and after that is on, I may very well paint the chrome strip (OK, not that one, get another one and paint it!). But thanks for your input.

If you want it to look like an XR, then just do the XR thing I guess. Like everyone else.

It all depends on how much he wants to spend. those cheap altezzas cost under 400, The twin lights were around 800, and an XR front end can cost????- mine cost 350 for the lot so was a very cheap alternative for me, others have paid much more for XR front ends- then there is the cost of painting an XR front end.

$800 for those twinlights? Yuck! they are the worst ones that twinlight has put out. For $800, you could get an XR front on the car, if you source the parts carefully (ie don't get broken bits), and they're in the right colour. Bonnet might be an issue (apparently a straight second hand bonnet is rare, and so expensive in comparison to other parts, and the aftermarket bonets are wafer thin).

not a big fan of them either but are an alternative to changing bonnet etc.
