Just bought a 2000 model xr6 series 2 ute today how do you know if its vct or not and are the rocker covers supposed to have a tickford symbol on them?

It will say VCT on the red rocker cover and you'll see the mechanism that activates the VCT on the front of the engine. It protrudes out a bit. It's sort of golden in colour and is flat on the top and is about 10-14 cm's wide.
