I've started the how-to for aftermarket headlights on an XR but haven't a clue (and can't find) what the frame that holds the adjusters/headlights is called.
Anyone know the Ford name for it? |

Ok, no luck with that.
There used to be (still is?) a parts reference on the forum. I can't find it either. Can someone point me to it? |

The thing gets mentioned around 1800 times (slight exaggeration) so I was hoping it was called "thing" or "alf" or something short, lol. Is the parts database gone? |

Sorry guys... obviously didn't happen before our trip away. Came close but a couple of the pics were mis-named and I ran out of time.
I can report that the 150W sealed beam inserts are unbelievable. At times a bit too good as they drowned out oncoming lights approaching over a crest. I'll get the how-to up in the next few days. |

Thanks for linking JC.
I must admit that I put the aftermarket xr lights "how to" in the "later" basket. Main prob was that I took so many pics along the way that sorting and resizing is a mammoth task. The lights are definitely a success. Been on over 12 months with no probs. In order to at least share the knowledge I'll do a simplified version of the how-to in the next week and can just answer any queries from there. |
