Hey guys and girls
I've got the first issue of street machine, got it from a market some years ago now.(not going to tell you how much i payed for it, hehe) Have been thinking about putting it on ebay, don't know if its worth it. Never seen one on there before. So what I'm asking is,how much do you think its worth or should I just keep it. |

List it for $0.99 in a few categories and wait and see. You never know, someone might pay stupid money for it.

The first copy with the Street Machine only title had a corvette on the cover. That is the First copy of Van Wheels, Street machine merge that's for sure. My brother does a lot of wheelin and dealing in that sort of stuff, last time I seen him with the first Street Machine only title for sale, was about 8 year ago and he got $50 for it at a swap. I don't know what the value would be these days but susspect it would sell for $50-$100.

and quite a few other hot rod type magazines as well. lots of boxes that i have been tempted to get rid of every time i`ve had to move house, but just havent brought myself to part with them ( i am a self confessed hoarder). a lot of cash invested / wasted in magazines in my earlier years when we had no internet.

Don't sell it, that's the sort of thing you'll KICK yourself for. Besides, it's a thin magazine, how irritating could it be that you must get rid of it? I've got some old (early 90's ford mags) that even though are old and read 100 times are still fun to re-read for old times sake.

I just sold my whole street machine collection from 99 - 09, Every mag was there and I got $300 for it. Which I was pretty happy with, There was about 8 boxes full and taking up to much space in my room. I reckon you should keep this one though, its the first copy and sure someone might pay 100-200 bucks for it, unless you desperatly need that money, id keep it.

I ditched all my old Street Machines years ago when the feature cars just got too ridiculously perfect to ever be driven.
Still got boxes of all the old Wheels, Motor Manual and Australian Sports Car World from the 60's and 70's though, chucked out most of the 80s stuff.

yeh I stopped reading street machine now, I will never drive or own a showcar so its a waste of time for me, the cars are to perfect. I like driving a car (especially older cars 60s,70's) with a few faults because it gives them character I reckon.

I agree with Paddyboy. Many of the cars in street machine are far more bling! than go.

Plus they're all aftermarket this, modified that. 20-inch wheels, custom interiors, ugly steering wheels, Honda colours on a Ford, big fruity Autometer gauges all over the place. Restoration my ****.
