Default Fiesta fuse box? cigar lighter not working..

Gudday guys,

My girlfirend just bought a brand new Zetec, its a rippa, but the cigar lighter doesn't seem to be powered.

So i removed the glove box to get to the fuses and went to check number 22 as the manual states. Only to find that the fuse box is a random assortment of different things that have no numbers and no order seem to match with the owners manual list (which their are two different versions of with no explanation)..

so where is fuse 22?

p.s. it was night with the mobile phone as lighting so, if its rather obvious; be gentle..

Yeh i had the exact same prob with my WP Fiesta,

I remember mine was a 15A fuse, so most likely yours would be too,

All i did was look at the map on the back of the glove box and looked for the pics of the cigarette symbol,

(for some reason theres a few of them ???)

Replaced them all with 15A fuses then took them out one by one till i sourced the actual location of the cigarette fuse

Hope this helps !!!!!

or better yet, make a wiring harness and do a direct line to the lighter socket. :P

Little aftermarket doesnt hurt.

Is yours a 2009? There aint no map in her manual, just two tables of interior fuse boxes. I can only assume a sticker has been omitted at the factory.. Grrr :(

Well what i found out wasn't that reassuring...

The cigar lighter/power source wasn't working because it wasn't plugged into the socket on the back. whether it ever was or it came from Belgium like that we'll never know.

The dealer said that they checked other fiestas and none have a fuse box sticker. So as far as I can tell there is no way to know which fuse to check.. disappointing.
