from what ive seen silicone ones tend not to wipe quite so well, but last much longer then rubber, and also be rougher on the windscreen.
I'd go rubber any day of the week and change em regularly |

From this website: http://www.product-guides-reviews.co...wipers-online/
comes this info about silicone wiper blades.... "Silicone Wiper Blades were created to operate at sub zero temperatures, where rubber wipers may well break down. They are resistant to Ultra Violet light, chemicals and ozone and this gives them a much longer life than rubber Wiper Blades, leading to most distributors offering a one year guarantee. They have much reduced drag compared to rubber wipers and also greatly reduce squeak and ensure a smooth wiping operation." I haven't used silicone ones yet, so I too am interested in anything anyone has to share about these items, pros or cons. MM

Fordman, try the Bosch free form aerodynamic blade things! Have them on my BA, makes normal blades looks like rubbish. In every way they have been better than both the rubber and silicone refills! Simply because they replace the frames compltely, meaning they work great at any speed, and don't leave "patches" on the screen. They have also outlasted the rubber and silicone refills i've had before.
Warning though, they are much more expensive and Ive only used Bosch ones and can't comment on other brands.

Just stay away from Rainex - it eats your wiper blades.
