Just heard from Dion.. He ran a 8.86 @ 150.6mph in his XD tonite at Calder... This guys persistance is amazing, with both his XD and his efforts in getting the wheel lifting CLINIC BF turbo into the 9's....

well the story goes like this, my brother and i raced a sprintcar a couple years back and i had built this 400cu methanol injected beast making 893hp and 703ft. we parted ways and i had the motor sitting at work. i brought this xd bare roller off ck automotive the start off last year and i was setting up a ba 4.0 turbo and glide for it. as i was looking at the xd with the ba motor in it, and thinking how long it was going to take to finish i happen to be looking at the chev and thought if i chuck that in i could have it going in a couple of weeks so i did that. i still want to put a ba turbo in it at some stage.

that was my 8 year old daughter in the car. even after the burnout she goes to me "thats cool dad" and said you ain't seen nothing yet! she loved the whole ride. that pass was a 9.05!

two reasons for building the 6, one is that i really like these engines(never thought i'd say that about a straight 6!) second is that i want to run in the sport compact classes as there is no fords or even falcons in there, want to cause a stir!
