What are the differences between S2 and S3 AU's? i know theres stuff like side skirts, clear repeaters and tinted head lights on base models, different body kits on XR's, different wheels on upper spec's etc. But what else is there, people say S3's are the most reliable because all the problems have been fixed, but what mechanical differences are there?

Mechanically they are the same except for the V8 models which got a power boost on XR8 sedans (from 200kW to 220kW) and T-series (from 220kW to the 250kW stroker). Most of the improvements were on series 2 models, which gained better brakes and better head gaskets than series 1's. Series 3 6 cylinder models only got cosmetic changes.

S3s are built later, so should have less km, and therefore less potnetial for problems than an S2.
