Howdy folks,
A friend is trying to remove roof racks from his AU. They're the standard looking cross-member type, horizontal across the car, in dual format. Anyone have any hints on how to remove them without damaging the roof, or are these things welded into the roof?

I think the plastic end caps pull off and the hex bolts are under them it they are the ones I am thinking of ,They fit in behind the door rubbers?
