Default Interstate Couriers

Hi guys, im looking at getting a courier to get a 50kg carton from the gold coast down to melbourne. Ive heard E-Go might be the way to go but ive heard mixed reviews about them. Has anybody used these guys and can give some feedback or can recommend a reasonably priced and most of all reliable courier company?

Valued Contributor: For members whose non technical contributions are worthy of recognition. - Issue reason: ALWAYS goes out of his way to help others in need, never posts rubbish only facts he has learnt the hard way or with success in his personal experiance. Takes the time to aid more junior members and overall is a solid contributor to AFF.

Who do they then actually use to transport your freight.

I work for TNT Express and if you go in to any Pack & Send store they only receive your item and package it appropriately. We (TNT) actually transport ALL of their freight.

With your freight weight at 50kg then the person sending it will need to safely strap it to a skid or small pallet as it will need to be delivered by a Tailgate truck to your home as I presume it will be delivered to your house. Please understand none of the majors will deliver something that is 50kg by hand on a small truck to your house.

Edit: If you are moving a transmission or engine then you will need to ensure all fluids are drained from it before sending too.

Hope that helps mate. I'm sick of reading the 'I hate interstate transport companies' threads on here simply because as a rule of thumb the freight has been sent in an unfit manner to travel interstate.
