Mine stalls to approx 3200.. I was told by TCE that it was a 3000-3500rpm, depending on engine torque..
I would highly recommend a 3000rpm one mate.. plenty of stall without feeling too much....

Here's a couple of vids to show you the take off is with my stall..

Also, if you are going to get one, I recommend the 9.5" Pro-Street one from TCE..
Here's a link to their site..

I'm running a 3000 hi stall, and would prefer bigger.

A good stall will still drive off normally without having to rev it up to 3000 just to move the car.

So with my 3000, driving normally, you wouldn't even notice it was there, until you put your foot down.

The only thing i find with the 9.5" converter, is you can tell the car has a stall now.. Even when driving sedately, you feel it..

I have driven cars with the stock convertor modified to stall higher and have noticed that when driving normally, you don't know it has a stall.. But you can notice a better take off than standard...

I notice mine a lot more at 100kmh when it locks up and unlocks the converter, bigger rev difference.

i`ve thought about getting a stallie myself over the years, one of the things that concerned me was extra exhaust noise, good to know you can still drive it sorta normally, anyone tried towing with one?

you could probably tow with it if u wanted to. but id recommend a trans cooler if u dont have one already. ive got a stock stall modified to 2400 sitting the shed ready to install. thing thats stopping me from fitting it is cost to fit.

cheers mate, yes already have a pretty big cooler, i like the sound of gaining a quicker take off and still being able to cruise with with no additional revs, cake and eat it too .

That's the reason why i chose the 2400 stall. still remains streetable, but still has some take off benefits with out chewing out to much fuel.

Putting in any higher then standard stall should be done with adding in a bigger cooler.

The higher the stall, the more heat it puts out while on the stall.

Its not as big a deal with BTR's due to touque converter lock up, but it is still important to consider.
