Default 18inch drag radials

Hi guys, apologies in advance - did a quick search and drew a blank....

What are people using on their 18" rims?

I've got a spare set of 18x81/2 (I run 19's daily) and would like to put a couple of drag radials (or slicks) on them. I figure a 275 or 285 width would be ideal.

Please recommend and point me to where they are available.

thanks in advance

tex

The only tyre you will fit from the 18 inch range is a 265 M/T.That or 245's they don't come in a 275 or a 285 in 18's.

I would stick with the ET's on the strip.

You don't get them in tassie Tex - you need to get some from VPW, superplus or rocket

BF Goodrich G-Force Drag Radial

What about these???

Available in 275 x 18, 5 days delivery from tirerack, $800 incl delivery charge.

Are they worth considering?

Or these

[IMG][/IMG]

Hankook Ventus drag slicks

Pretty well same price, 275 width.

MT are the brand of choice for most Tex. The hancook might be alright if you confirm that it is a drag radial.

do M/T make an 18'' ET Street Radial? i have only seen them in the M/T ET Street Radial II.

tex, the NT05R's are also a very good tyre, are they as good as the M/T nah not really, but for the times etc you are looking run they would be fine. alot of the Mustang/Chev boys in the US use them.

Goodyear and Hoosier also make a good radial tyre for the strip.

That is correct,i have had both on my car and they are pretty much as good as each other. The ET would be a better bet though because of the taller side wall than the ET Radial II.

265 ET radial 1 on the 18 inch rim will be nice . 265 MT is heaps , when you consider what can be run on small tyres !

You will be fine .

MT ET StreetII's........ I ran 10.7 on them in the AU on a 1.715 60'... Chris ran an even faster 1.6x 60' (but slower ET due to grannyshifting ) as well but back then I was 150kg so I blame my weight for going slower to the 60!

They are perfect on our Falcons Shane, you'll love 'em.
