Its the same as why we dont get that hyundai V8 coupe here. my opinion on the honda. front end looks sweet!! maybe honda doesnt see this car marketable here?? I've driven one of those current model accord euro sedan and for what they are. the are very nice. loved the interior of it so i'd expect the interior on the coupe would be similar???

We also don't get the Accord Euro in the V6 and even manual like they do in the USA, only 4 cylinder auto/manual. They also have it in SH-AWD (Honda's AWD system), which we only get on the massively over-priced Honda Legend.
Also Accord Luxury comes in V6 manual over there too I think. I think they're sold under Honda's luxury brand "Acura" over in the USA, as the TSX. |

I get the impression coupes aren't very popular in Australia in general.
I base this on the fact that Falcon hardtops didn't last that long and the Monaro is gone. (But I realize that that's a very small sample size of data.)

From the front to the back of the doors looks good, but it looks like the rear is just a half baked transplant from something else.

I'm telling you it doesn't look very good. Front and side profile is ok, rear end is terrible, especially those tail lights.

And it's front-wheel drive. And no V8 is available.

Forget that POS. It probably handles like it's suspended with marshmallows (like the Yankee Accord sedan) and doesn't look good at all (defeating the purpose of a coupe). Why don't we get an Accord Euro diesel? The Accord Euro is a great car (although not quite at the Mondeo's level) hamstrung by a gutless engine.

Not to mention the basic fact that far, far more people seem to just like the idea of a V8 still being available somewhere, but who will never lay down money and buy one or ever own one. They could drop the V8 tomorrow at Ford (it's been done before) and the world wouldn't end for them (it didn't back in '82)...sales probably wouldn't even be affected that much, being such a small minority of vehicles sold. Seeing a new model car and immediately saying "where's the V8?", just limits your driving experiences to an increasingly outdated and irrelevant to the modern world engine platform. |

Honda has a really good AWD system, and anyways FWD they do really well, used to be the best in the business back in the 90s, but Renault has probably taken the crown now.

It's amazing what a good set of wheels and a lowered stance can do a car.
The stock factory version isn't that great IMO.

my next car will almost certainly be a japanese or other asian car, and something like this would do me just nice. |
