Default eBay Belt Tensioner

Has anyone been running one of the cheap belt tensioners off eBay for the Au 6 cyl?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Brand-New...item41618429d8

Are they any good? they have a 12 month warranty etc...

Thanks, Mark

I haven't bought it yet.

My ute has 230,000km and I'm chasing a really annoying belt/accessoriers related noise. I have replaced the 3 idler pulleys (VCT) and the belt, still didn't fix it.

There is a post on here from username Jastel on how to take the tensioner apart, clean and regrease and re-assemble. Apparently they dry out and get noisy after 200,000km. I haven't had time to try it yet.

mine did`nt last 200,000 k`s before they got noisy, about 130/140.000 k`s ish, i just bought new pulleys from bursons, can`t remember how much, i think about 30 each, i reckon a bearing place may even do them, and if so cheaper again, as for the quality of spare parts on ebay, i suspect they are the same quality, mostly chinese made like just about every thing these days as the ones that come out of repco and many other after market stores.
