Hello All
First time posting so be gentle with me please Just wanted to share my joy with you all with regard to my brand spanking new Mondeo, which I obtained a few days ago, so I am going to be selfish and post some pics Mondeo Zetec 2.0L, Turbo Ecoboost 2012, Midnight Sky My previous two cars were XR6's and thought it was time for a change, don't get me wrong, my previous two XR6's were fabulous, but after extensive internet research, and up to the point of information overload, I could not see past the new Mondeo, as compared to similar priced vehicles that I took for a test drive. I drove it to Melbourne today from Traralgon, as I had business to attend to and it drives like a dream, achieving 7.2L/100km, which I think is quite productive. I won't waffle on, just let me say that I am hugely impressed with my purchase..........thanks for listening |

I'm another new owner too. I've had mine for 10 days now and done about 700km. Yesterday I drove down to Wollongong and back. I averaged 7.5L/100km and at one point it was showing 6.9. My Territory would've been lucky to get under 11 on the same drive.
I'm very impressed with the quiet and comfortable cruising and the punchy performance too. I can't think of any compromises in the ride, steering, performance or economy for such a roomy car. I can understand completely how impressed you are too. Enjoy your ride.

I recently did a Canberra to Sunshine coast and return trip - got down to 6.9l/100km at one stage during some very very very long sections of 80km/h roadworks. At highway speeds (110km/h ish) I think 7.1 is the lowest I've been able to get.... ...and then on the weekends flick the transmission to S, and feel the huge smile slide across your face as you carve up some corners in the Brindabellas! One thing that puzzles me: why does your Mondeo have an Ecoboost badge on the rear? I've only seen one other MC Ecoboost with a badge, but lots and lots without... |

I'm so jealous of all you Ecoboost owners.
I bought too early :( For those who don't know my story, my Focus was written off in December last year and I needed a car pretty much ASAP. I had wanted a Mondeo when I bought the Focus but couldn't afford it at the time. Looked at them again when I needed a car and a 2010 Demo came up cheap, beautiful car and Ecoboost wasn't released yet (from memory it was still a couple of months away) - price was too good to turn down though and I knew I wouldn't get an Ecoboost in my price range so settled for the 2.3. Still a beautiful car and still just as good looking as the Ecoboost (same car innit!) just without the extra bonus :( I'm just an NA poster in an FI world!

Mine is an 09/2011 model. It also has an Auto Dim Rear View Mirror, chrome handle on the glove box and leather armrest. Most other Zetecs dont have this gear. Maybe Ford raided the parts bin for this car. It was an Ex-Ford Car...
