Default spanner icon

i have a spanner icon on dash next to the trip meter came on at about 240000 k`s doe`s anyone know what this means.

It means major service time as specified by your Ford service manual. To get rid of it you need to do something like put the ignition to the on position and hold the trip meter button in for 10 seconds......... or something like that. I'm sure somebody here will be able to give you the proper sequence to turn it off.

Turn ignition on , don't start . Press & hold odometer button on dash for 11-13 seconds and release .

Spanner gone . It was fords way of reminding people service is up .
