It can't be as bad as when Volvo showing off one of their gadgets had their car drive right into the back of a truck.

You mean to tell me that a brand new model actually has a minor issue?
Good lord. Shut the factory.

Won't matter. It's a Holden, this would be shrugged off in no time. Holdens are Wheels Mag's favourite car.

Apart from the parking fail I think for once Holdens Marketing has cocked up a bit. The video shot from the rear of the 2 wagons and a ute should be taken from the front. From the back the VFs are the same as the VEs. Or use sedans.

Read this from one of the Facebook comments, laughed my head off.
"Lemons don't park. They fall straight to the ground." Self parking may not be for my generation, but my grandkids will probably be wondering how people parallel parked without it.

Has this changed? The early (Euro built) Focus would ONLY look on the left side by default (with or without blinker). The right blinker had to be used in order for it to look on the right side of the car.

Karl S. demo'd the new VF on the Today Show this morning. Sitting in the car with none other than News Ltd journo Joshua Dowling. They were really talking up the self parking feature. Karl even managed to park it next to his own HSV in the channel nine carpark. Was a great piece of PR for Holden.

Those "fuel efficient tyres" on the Evoke are a more concern, the grip is just not there
and I can see traditional Omega buyers coming a gutsa in the wet.... |

Why would you need a self parking system to look on the right hand side?

Talk about a bad time for it to not work but hopefully just an isolated issue. As far as I'm concerned it wouldn't bother me in the least bit as I wouldn't use it because I don't reverse park.

With all of this new tech slammed into the VF surely this is just the beginning of tech related guinea pig issues.

Other journos have had the same problems. The system only works sometimes.
But then again what can you expect from GM tech? Just look at all the electrical problems VE had. |

Ha ha Fall
The more gadgets the more things to go wrong. Holden drivers aren't the smartest so they need all the help they can get this is why the VF has all these unnecessary gadgets lol Wonder if the light fails in the mirror on the change lane warning system if there is going to be an increase in accidents lol
