They were talking about this on Monday's Night-Life (tony delroy) last week, saying that the car restraints had ADR approval, but not the child seats themselves! as a result, it's illegal to sell the seats in australia and anyone had to import them if they wanted isofix.

Why can't we adopt European standards across the board, instead of ADRs (emissions aside for local manufacturers) .
Are our ADRs a form of protection for our manufacturers?
