Default 93 XR6 still cruising

Drove around for about 5 hours tonight in the EB2.
We went everywhere; suburbs, country, freeways and city.
Tonight this car literally climbed mountains.

Words cannot fully express my enthusiasm for E series Falcons, especially when fitted with a Tickford engine and an lsd.
Ford really got it right with the Tickford XR6s!

You've got that right! I'll be taking my fairmont ghia on a 5000km round trip in a few weeks without hesitation. Can't wait

Lol no prob

Good cruising cars, decent highway mileage.
Watch out for the usual headgasket issues

Bolt on mods free it up a bit more as well.

A good drive they are.

They certainly are a rewarding car to drive (at any pace too).
I fitted EL thermo fans a couple of years ago to help prevent the headgasket issue, I also maintain my cooling system like some kind of radiator-nazi.
Exhaust is pacemaker 4480s into "standard" xr6 cat then a 2.5" pipe into single dynomax muffler, it sounds pretty decent.
I have a full set of rda slotted brakes and performance pads sitting around waiting to be fitted as well.

Next mod is a t5 manual conversion, then I might lower it some more.
Sorry about the rant, as I said I'm an enthusiast.

Might as well post that I have now sourced a t5 conversion, I should be able to pick it up within the next week or so.
