Hi, hoping you can give some options for brake upgrades for my new 86, it's about to be supercharged and will see the occasional track day, it would also be great if it would fit under my standard 17" rims, I know willwood have a kit available in the states but haven't had any luck finding it in oz, happy to spend about 3k

Yes there is a kit that uses AP Racing calipers and AP rotors or a bit cheaper is the DBA rotor option.
I would have to confirm if these front kits fit the factory 17" rims. 4 Piston AP Racing calipers and DBA 2 piece disc, pads and braided lines $2950.00 4 Piston AP Racing calipers and AP Racing 2 piece disc, pads and braided lines $3450.00

And if it's cheaper to confine the willwood calipers with DBA stuff that would be cool too,
Thanks |

Would I be correct in assuming the AP kits were fronts only?

We don't do Wilwood brake kits sorry and it would be possible to do Wilwood calipers with DBA rotors i reckon but won't be cheaper than full Wilwood kits.
Yes the AP kits are front only and there are rear options.

Hi Matt, would this be the formula, sprint or endurance kit you were referring to? also interested in your thoughts about dust boots on an occasional track car that is also my daily driver

We do not class the brake kits as you have mentioned sorry but with the AP caliper in the kit it can be used for street or track applications and has a inner dust seal which is better than a dust boot for track use as it has less chances of melting.

What am I looking at for a rear option to match the AP package and how do the DBA 5000 compare to the J hook designs? What rotor dimensions are we talking, front and rear, and will these fit under the stock 17" rims?

Sprint kit has a 299mm disc and is $2850 Endurance kit has a 325mm disc and is $3375 These kits are kits using APR acing calipers and either AP Racing or DBA rotors as listed and are the more popular kits. Front 4 Piston AP Racing calipers and DBA 2 piece disc, pads and braided lines $2950.00 Front 4 Piston AP Racing calipers and AP Racing 2 piece disc, pads and braided lines $3450.00 Rear 2 Piston AP Racing calipers and DBA 316mm T3 Slotted 1 piece disc, pads and braided lines $2295.00 The J hook desine is just a form of slotting but generally the AP Racing rotors have these and they are very good quality rotors.
