Hi guys,
I an going to start a revamp of my engine bay, engine coming out and everything's getting painted or polished, I am going to detail every piece starting with the manifold.
My question is what's this little sticky out bit for??
And can it be cut off??
Thanks

Just an un-used lug. Maybe the yanks bolt something to it?

It is drilled out on the US explorer manifolds, so i think its safe to assume you can cut it off.

For reference…

Pretty sure it is a pointless casting lug. I cut mine off when I polished my upper manifold it's completely solid behind it. So I say cut away haha

Hay mate, Do you have a photo of your polished manifold??

I am thinking how much can I take off the manifold eg those lines on the top and side of the manifold. How thick is the sides??, has anyone ground them off??
