Hey all, I made a completely unplanned trip up to the big smoke last night from Ballarat, and the weather is terrible. Is there anything car related to do or see in Sydney and surrounds? Tried googling but it just takes me to car yards. Any help appreciated, I didnt drive 1000km to be stuck in a motel room!

The Powerhouse Museum might be worth a look, covers a broad range of categories though (I think the automotive section is a small part):

Apparently there is a motor museum near Powerhouse though I have never been there.
http://www.sydneyontheweb.com/explor..._Motor_Museum/ Plenty of non-car related stuff though. For example the IMAX theatre, Australian National Maritime Museum and Sydney Aquarium are all indoors if the weather is crap. |

The best way to see Sydney, is in the rear-view mirror.
Some-one had to say it. |
