Nothing to get excited about IMHO, really just a fully imported yawn fest

Reading the comments... Ford seems to have an image problem in Europe too.
Oh well. |

I drove the Mondeo 1.6L Ecoboost in Hawaii when I was there last October.
Lovely car. Great connectivity options, really nice interior and dash. Big boot (Not as big as my MA Mondeo mind you. Fuel economy was reasonable too. Best looking Car in it's range IMHO.

Video review of the new Mondeo by AutoExpress: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kge6DQQrdiE
It seems like they're in agreement with Top Gear - that the new Mondeo 'has lost the keen driving edge it once held' Not a deal breaker for me, though - not unless it's worse even than a Camry which was uninspiring.

Not even worth it. There's always one.
New Mondeo on the other hand. I like it. Nice range of engines too. Be good if we get the 2L turbo.

Hopefully there is an ST variant in manual that hits our shores, the ol' Mondeo XR5 looked to be a good car, and they were manual too.

I drove the top spec 2.0L Ecoboost Fusion in Texas earlier in the year for a week. Build quality was better than a FG (imo) and went pretty hard for what it is (no I6T mind you). Never struggled for power or finding gears, plenty of room, all the tech goodies you want (Americans are spoiled for gadgets, we get SFA). Just an all round brilliant car. Felt upmarket for a Ford.
