Just my luck..... car didnt leak a drop of coolant until extractors were fitted & car running on the hoist. Not just a leak, but pouring out between the inlet manifold & head, right on the corner.
Added 2/3 a bottle of Scott's stop leak, and that killed the leak almost immediately, but i dont have much faith in it staying like that for very long. What parts do i need to collect to replace this gasket, and stuff that probably should be changed whilst this is being done, thanks |

stupid me went to tighten the bolt next to where the leak was, and found it just free spins, and now it leaks from the bolt hahaha

This front passenger side bolt almost always seizes and snaps off into the head, most likely what has happened here.
Be very carefully when removing the bolts, spouse them in wd40 or something similar to soften it up.

thanks, got any other tips on the job? Booked in at ford, and they not looking forward to it as they dont really deal with these much. Wouldnt mind leaving them some advice from you guys that seem to pull the top half of a motor off in 30mins
