I think there will be a few on here who, like me, are happy to see that people not keeping left unless overtaking (or taking over, as she puts it!) are being pulled over and being forced to learn the rules.
I'd like to see more of it. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ight-lane.html

I'm just happy to see a wannabe social media warrior have the situation turned on her, looking at how most of the reception has been.

Saw her on Sunrise this morning - I laughed the whole way through.
"There were no other cars on the road". Except the cop car behind her that is. "We all know they are out to fill their quotas". If they have a quota for 'fail to keep left' then I support it being increased dramatically. |

What an idiot
Very frustrating when persons in the overtaking lane are driving quite a few kms under the speed limit restricting persons from ovetaking.

I love the way she pans the camera around to show that there are no signs telling her that she can't use the right lane unless she is "taking over".
Love, have you realised that there no signs telling you that have to use your indicator when you change lanes, or that you are supposed to stay withint he marked lines, and that solid white lines mean you cannot change lanes, or....... All sorts of fail with this one!

If she just said sorry she most likely would have been let off.
I got let off doing 73 in a 60 zone, because I admitted to what I did and handed over my license straight away, with no argument. Also got to love the backlash against her. Stupid cow. |

Have witnessed someone being pulled over on the M2 for sitting in the right (wrong) lane ... was a good morning heading home from work after nightshift.
Right lane hogger was clueless there was a marked XR6T following for a while. Officer gave them plenty (more than plenty) time to move back across. They even left the others the went passed in the left lane alone ... and proceed to pull over said person when all clear. I had a grin all the way home. EDIT: Looking at the link ... I am surprised the officer didn't tell her to get back in the vehicle for her own safety ... especially standing right on the line of the left lane in traffic.

We've really failed as a society when the average person thinks there needs to be signs around telling people what they can and can't do. They keep trying to bypass any personal responsibility of acquiring the relevant knowledge for their actions and instead want signs plastered up infront of their eyes. |

About bloody time people were pulled over for this!
I had some twat doing exactly the same thing on the eastern fwy the other day. Right lane, 80km/h no cars on his left, it's just plain dangerous driving.

I'm currently in Qld, and I have found so far that the left 2 lanes on the M1 between Brisbane and gold coast are faster than the right 2 - all because of right lane hogs. I am going to wear out the headlight flashing function of this FGX XR6 hire car (but people do move - thankfully).

Recently, I had a woman two cars in front of me on an 80kph highway come to a rapid and complete stop in front of us to let a guy who was standing on the side of the highway with his bike, cross the road. Even he was shocked. Also directly behind me was a fully loaded triple road train, I'm just thankful that he was able to pull up in time without turning me into road pizza!!

I don't think that would make any difference!

If she can't understand keeping left unless overtaking ... I highly doubt she'd have half a clue about roundabouts either.

Im glad she had a big sook about it because now heaps of people have seen that cops can and will book you for being in the right lane and maybe just maybe they will think twice about it ( yea I know not gunna happen but its nice to dream )

I know what you're saying. I don't use the M1 car park much these days but when I do, I always use the left lanes and laugh at the mindless roadhogs tripping over each other in lanes 3 & 4. The unfortunate problem is that the "keep left" law applies in Qld yet I've seen cops cars sitting out there in those lanes blithely driving along. |

Back when he held a licence my father in law got pulled up and given a lecture for 40 in a 60 zone because the road was clear and he was creating a traffic hazard.

Imagine the thought process that goes on behind the idea that when pulled over and challenged by authority, the natural reaction is to whip out the camera and share it with the world in a rant worthy of the habitually offended.
A scene worthy of a Houso's episode. |
