Hey guys I'm having a problem with my reverse gear ,,if I park it on a steep driveway it doesn't have enough power at normal revs to back it up ...an if I stomp a bit to hard on the pedal it sounds like it's either breaking traction or the reverse gear is slipping ...any idea what is going on with it,,that the diff would do this only in reverse..
The car is auto..

Ok thanks for the info , is the tranny dipstick under the bonnet?
Traction control maybe turned off, there's plenty of slip in the back tyres if u get my drift..

If theres some serious kays on the box, maybe do a service & check the filter for clutch plate debris.
Check the fluid level for now & if its good & your sure there was slippage, i would do the above then go from there, good luck! cheers, Maka

As per the link, but a bit more info.
You can't check it. The only thing you can do is pump more fluid into the tranny until it starts to come out of the hole you are filling it from.

When the filler bolt is undone (after you've jacked the car up level), the fluid should be level with the bottom of the filler bolt thread. Plenty of old threads describing as such, good luck!
cheers, Maka

Use a single hex socket , 9 times out of 10 this bolt is extremely tight and probably already half rounded from the last attempt , its a PITA
